New Manchester City goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has said that he’ll improve his game to suit his new team.
He recently vowed to improve his ability to pass the ball out from the back at Manchester City.
Speaking to the press, Donnarumma revealed that he’ll do whatever it takes to help Manchester City on the pitch.
According to him, while he has made a few mistakes in goal over the years, he has proven to be quality enough to handle goalkeeping at the highest level.
The Italian stated that he has achieved a lot of great things as a goalkeeper and he wants that trend to continue in England.
“I always try to help the team and do what the coach asks of me. I do everything; you can always improve in everything, but regarding what the coach asks of me, I try to improve.
I’m sure that with Guardiola we’ll do a great job.
Since I started playing at 16 until today, I’ve always done great things. Mistakes will always happen. But I believe I’ve achieved great things,” he said.
Donnarumma further noted that he was desperate to join City because Pep Guardiola did everything within his power to sign him.
He concluded by hailing Pep as the best coach in the world, stressing that playing under him is a massive honour.
“I couldn’t wait to join City because they really wanted me. The coach really wanted me, and that made me proud.
To be wanted so strongly by the best club in the world makes me proud,” he added.
