Manchester United Keeps Conceding Avoidable Goals – Yoro

Manchester United defender Leny Yoro has rallied his team-mates to stick together after a disastrous start to the season.

He recently revealed that little mistakes have been costing the team this season.

Speaking to the press, Yoro shared that the season has been very difficult for everyone at the club because the team has been very unlucky.

According to him, even though the performance was poor against Grimsby, MUFC players dropped points vs Fulham and Arsenal despite playing well.

He stated that failing to score chances and conceding avoidable goals has been the team’s undoing thus far.

“I think it’s been difficult for everyone. This game is in the past now and we need to move forward and think about Burnley. The team is ready to hold their heads up and we’re looking forward to the game.

It’s difficult because I think without the Grimsby game – against Fulham and Arsenal I think we were a bit unlucky in these games because we did well, honestly.

We had the opportunity to score and we conceded goals we can avoid – I think these are the small things we need to improve. If we don’t concede these little mistakes, we will win games – it’s just little mistakes we need to change,” he said.

The Frenchman urged his teammates to keep up the team spirit ahead of the tough run of fixtures in the coming weeks.

Yoro concluded by saying that the good team spirit the club built during pre-season must continue throughout the current campaign.

“Once we enter Carrington, we focus on ourselves and the spirit of the team. The team spirit is really important for our team and we saw in pre-season when we were always together – we built a spirit.

This type of game [Grimsby] helps also to have a good spirit because we need to stay together no matter what the result is. We need to reflect this on the pitch and try to do everything to do it,” he added.
