Liverpool defender Virgil Van Dijk has suggested the club’s summer business is not over yet.
The Reds, who have already spent close to £300 million in this transfer window, appear ready to strengthen their squad even further before the new season kicks off.
Speaking to the press, VVD shared that it is important for the new players to quickly settle into the group and fit into the squad.
According to him, everyone will have to work very hard to help Liverpool football club in all the competitions they’ll be playing in next season.
Van Dijk stated that the Reds will need to work on the group’s synergy ahead of the crucial matches awaiting the team.
“For me, it’s very important to see how they settle into the group and fit into the squad that we have and I think all of them have.
There’s Armin – the young goalie who just came from don’t know where – and he’s settled in pretty well. There’s obviously Freddie, Giorgi, Flo, Jeremie, Hugo came today of course. Everyone has to work hard, we’re all in this together and that’s the main thing,” he said.
The Netherlands international further noted that Liverpool has clearly made fantastic additions this summer, stressing that the new signings are quality enough to raise the club’s level.
VVD concluded by saying that he expects the club to splash more cash if more targets become available.
“Let’s see what happens for the rest of the transfer window. I think we’ve made great additions to the team so far and I think they will definitely have the quality to play for Liverpool,” he added.
