President Bola Tinubu met UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer behind closed doors at 10 Downing Street on Thursday. Though the leaders kept details under wraps, Tinubu called the talks “very good.”

A statement by Tinubu’s spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga said a major highlight of the visit will be President Tinubu witnessing the signing of a landmark £746 million financing deal between the UK Export Finance, UKEF, the Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA, and the Federal Ministry of Finance Nigeria.
The agreement is aimed at supporting the refurbishment of key maritime infrastructure, including the Lagos Port Complex and the Tin Can Island Port Complex.
