The New Boko Haram Attack In Borno State Is Senseless Violence – Atiku

A former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has expressed deep sorrow over the killing of Nigerian soldiers in the latest Boko Haram attack on Darajamal, Borno State. Recall that the attack on Darajamal, located in Bama Local Government Area of Borno State, happened on Friday evening when suspected Boko Haram insurgents invaded the community, murdering over 60 people, including civilians and military personnel.

In a press statement shared today, Atiku described the killings as “senseless violence,” stressing that it proves Nigeria has not won the war against terrorism.

The ADC member stated that he is very sad to hear about the latest avoidable deaths in the North.

“I am deeply saddened by the tragic killing of scores of people, including gallant soldiers, in the recent Boko Haram attack on Darajamal, Borno State.

This senseless violence is a painful reminder of the heavy price our people continue to pay in the face of terror,” it read.

Condoling with the families of the victims, he commended Governor Babagana Zulum for quickly visiting the Borno community to commiserate with the affected residents.

He concluded by reiterating the need for national unity and renewed commitment amid the battle against terrorism.

“My heartfelt condolences go to the bereaved families, the resilient people of Borno, and Governor Zulum, whose swift compassion in visiting the affected community is commendable.

May Almighty Allah grant the departed Al-Jannah Firdaus and comfort their loved ones.

As a nation, we must rise to confront this menace with unity and renewed resolve. The sacrifices of our soldiers and civilians must inspire stronger community security, deeper collaboration, and unwavering commitment to peace,” he added.
