The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has appointed Hon. Thomas Ayo Da-Silva as Deputy Director of the Administration and Logistics Directorate of the party’s Campaign Council for the 2027 general elections.
The appointment forms part of the campaign structure unveiled by the Lagos APC as the party begins to organise its machinery ahead of the 2027 electoral cycle.
The campaign council’s membership and directorate structure were released on Thursday, September 17, 2026, through the Kadri Obafemi Hamzat Media Centre. The council is expected to coordinate the party’s campaign activities across Lagos State.
Hon. Thomas Ayo Da-Silva has been listed alongside Dr. Adekunle Olayinka, who heads the Administration and Logistics Directorate.
The directorate also includes Ms. Tolu Okoya-Thomas as Secretary, while other members have been assigned responsibilities covering logistics, procurement and general membership of the committee.
The Administration and Logistics Directorate is one of the operational units established to support the campaign council’s activities. Its membership includes individuals assigned to administrative coordination, logistics and procurement responsibilities.
The newly announced campaign structure brings together serving and former political office holders, party leaders and other stakeholders.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is listed as Chairman of the Campaign Council, with Deputy Governor Kadri Obafemi Hamzat as Deputy Chairman. Also listed in the leadership structure are Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa and Mrs. Damilola Sonayon-James as Vice Chairmen I, II and III respectively. Former Senator Musiliu Obanikoro is named Director-General, while Rasaq Ajala is Deputy Director-General and Dr. Adekunle Olayinka is Campaign secretary
The wider structure includes directorates covering legal and compliance, party and inter-party affairs, administration and logistics, as well as committees dealing with traditional institutions, diaspora engagement and residents’ associations, among others.
The appointment also comes against the background of Da silva’s involvement in APC politics in Amuwo-Odofin Federal Constituency.
Earlier in 2026, Hon. Thomas Ayo Da-Silva was listed among six aspirants seeking the APC ticket for the Amuwo-Odofin Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 House of Representatives election. Other names listed at the time were Ayodele Adewale, Ramotallahi Akinola, Wuraola Adewale, Moses Olarewaju and Adeola Adegbenga.
His inclusion in the campaign council now places him in an administrative and logistical role within the broader campaign structure.
The Lagos APC campaign council is scheduled for formal inauguration on Friday, September 18, 2026, at the party’s secretariat on ACME Road, Ikeja, Lagos. Reports on the released structure indicate that the council will coordinate activities across the state’s various local government areas and Local Council Development Areas, with grassroots mobilisation also incorporated into the campaign framework.
The development marks another stage in the political parties’ preparations for the 2027 elections, with the Lagos APC establishing its campaign structure well ahead of the election season. For Hon. Thomas Ayo Da-Silva, the new appointment places him within the team responsible for the administrative and logistical side of the Lagos APC campaign operation.
