No Presence, No Proof: APC Candidate Faces Backlash as ABO’s Impact Speaks

In the desperation to resuscitate a candidate that lacks grassroots presence and connection beyond Sagamu, a faceless group called “APC Remo Vanguard” has taken to throwing stones at a man whose record stands taller than any political endorsement, Hon. Asiwaju Bolarinwa Oluwole (ABO), the PDP candidate.

In a press statement signed by Bosun Davies Shoyoye, the Director, Communication and strategy for ABOCO Media he noted that for clarity purpose, this is not a battle of slogans or sentimental gender tokenism. It is about competence, readiness, and impact.

Shoyoye posit that the APC candidate remains largely unfamiliar to many communities across Remo. She has yet to engage directly with numerous areas, much less offer meaningful solutions to their longstanding challenges.

He noted that her candidacy appears to be driven more by sentiment, privilege, and internal party arrangements than by merit or proven capacity.

Despite frequent references to words like “honour” and “competence” from her supporters, there is currently no verifiable record of service or impactful engagement she can point to within Remo.

Key communities such as Orile Oko, Irolu, Ipara, and Ilara have reportedly not experienced her presence as she hasn’t visited those communities.

Residents of Ajigbotifa, Inushin, and Apena similarly question whether she is aware of the realities they face daily.

In contrast, PDP candidate Hon. Asiwaju Bolarinwa Oluwole (ABO) is widely known for his consistent presence and tangible contributions in these same communities. Locals frequently cite his work not promises as evidence of his commitment.

From infrastructure support to social initiatives, ABO’s impact continues to resonate at the grassroots level, standing in sharp contrast to the silence from the APC camp.

While others rely on rhetoric, ABO’s track record continues to speak for itself.

JIGI ABO: a free eye-care program reaching hundreds of residents in Remo, a health intervention none of their “sterling record holders” has ever initiated.

ABO Water is Life Scheme: clean, functional boreholes provided to serve communities like Alagbaon Mefa, Isote, Orile Oko and parts of Ogijo.

Electrification Projects: lighting up parts of Isara and Sagamu to boost business, security, and dignity.

Cancer Care Partnership: a forthcoming initiative showing ABO is planning for all lives, not just votes.

Legislative Experience That Matters

ABO brings more than goodwill to the table. He brings legislative fluency. Having served as a Legislative Aide to a past representative of Remo Federal Constituency, ABO already understands:

The inner workings of the National Assembly
How to draft and push impactful bills and motions
How to attract federal attention to local needs
And most importantly, who to engage, where to engage, and how to get things done

His experience comes with pre-established networks, cross-party respect, and zero learning curve, making him ready to hit the ground running on Day One.

From Projects to Proofs

These initiatives weren’t cooked up for campaign posters. They were launched long before elections called for them. ABO’s track record isn’t about optics, it’s about outcomes.

This is not new. ABO has been in these communities before elections. He is not “emerging.” He is already embedded. His footprints are in every ward, not just political WhatsApp groups and air-conditioned party strategy rooms. Not surprised that his street credibility is mistaken for cultism, ABO is a complete gentleman that is well cultured and responsible.

Rather than making attempts to smear ABO with unfounded labels and vague associations, APC should tell the good people of Remo what their unqualified candidate has to offer if any?

It is a known fact that Remo has finally found someone who is not only Remo by name but Remo in soul, in service, and in sacrifice.

The people of Remo are wiser now. They are not swayed by stage-managed endorsements or poetic press releases.

They want someone who will represent all of Remo, Sagamu, Ikenne, and Remo North with equal understanding, commitment, and action.

The PDP didn’t just present a candidate but presented a proven servant. A tested voice and prepared mind that is bold and courageous.

We challenge the APC to prove the capacity of their imposed candidate to represent the constituency in the green chamber
