Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has said that he has been very impressed with Trent Alexander-Arnold’s crossing ability.
He recently described the English defender’s crosses as unbelievable, and fans have been reacting.
Speaking to the press, Courtois said that his new teammate will definitely be a nightmare for La Liga and UCL goalkeepers next season.
The goalie stated that Trent could have had a lot of assists at the Club World Cup tournament already if finishing was better, stressing that his corners and free-kicks have been causing a lot of problems in the opposition’s box.
According to him, he has not seen any other footballer with accurate set pieces like Trent’s, and his striking is simply incredible to watch.
“He could have provided several assists already in the tournament. In training, his striking is unbelievable, his free-kicks and corners are on another level. I don’t think I’ve seen anyone with his quality in striking and crossing,” he said.
Courtois further noted that the former Liverpool player keeps goalkeepers on their toes at all times, and that is the kind of dangerman Real Madrid needs on the pitch.
He concluded by saying that Trent Alexander-Arnold is a signing that will improve the entire team when he finally settles into his new environment.
“As a goalkeeper, he’s a nightmare at times. He keeps you on your toes and forces you to work hard to make stops. He makes us improve,” he added.
