Rivers Crisis : Gov. Fubara’s Whereabouts Unknown

Rivers State Governor Siminialayi Fubara’s whereabouts are currently unknown after President Bola Tinubu declared a state of emergency in the state and suspended the executive and legislative branches for six months.

Admiral Ibak Ete-Ibas (retired) has been appointed as the sole administrator during this period.

Fubara was reportedly attending to visitors in the Government House, Port Harcourt when the President’s broadcast aired.

He promptly terminated the meeting and left the premises with some aides, his destination unknown.

Additionally, sources claim that security personnel at the Government House are being replaced by new personnel.

Rumors are circulating that officials from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) are pursuing certain state officials, although these reports remain unconfirmed.

The sudden disappearance of Governor Fubara has added to the growing uncertainty and tension in Rivers State, as residents await further developments and clarification on the situation.
