Women Leading the Celebration in Honour of Fathers June 20, 2026
King of Glory Church, City of North Hills, Los Angeles County, marked this year’s Father’s Day celebration with a unique and inspiring service, as all officiating ministers and coordinators for the day were women, led by Pastor Mrs. Adeleke. The special service was organized to honour fathers and father figures for their invaluable contributions to their families, the Church, and society. It was a day filled with worship, thanksgiving, appreciation, and spiritual impartation.
Delivering the sermon of the day, Sister Olaitan ministered on the topic “Discernment”, highlighting the importance of spiritual sensitivity in the life of every believer. She emphasized that discernment is a vital gift that enables Christians to distinguish between truth and error, make godly decisions, recognize divine direction, and navigate life’s challenges with wisdom.
Drawing from biblical examples, she encouraged the congregation—especially fathers—to cultivate a deeper relationship with God through prayer, the study of His Word, and obedience to the leading of the Holy Spirit. She noted that discernment is essential for effective leadership within the home, the Church, and the community.
The service featured moments of heartfelt worship, prayers, and thanksgiving as the Church celebrated the men who continue to serve as pillars of faith, strength, and guidance in their homes. The collection of tithes and offerings was coordinated by Mrs. Adebola Sogbuyi, whose dedication and commitment contributed to the smooth conduct of the service.
In his Father’s Day message, Pastor Isaac Adeleke expressed profound appreciation to all fathers for their sacrifices, steadfast faith, and commitment to raising godly families. He prayed for God’s continued favour, wisdom, strength, and protection upon them.
