Popular Afrobeats singer Burna Boy has said that he is ready to get married.
He recently stunned Nigerians when a video of him flashing a massive luxury ring on his “wedding finger” surfaced online.
In the clip, the musician revealed that financial capacity and intentionality are the crucial qualities he looks for in a future partner.
Boasting that the ring costs $2m, he told his female admirers that his marriage is worth millions of dollars.
“Show me one female that would have put this ring on my finger. This is what my marriage is worth. If you want to marry me, you’re bringing the ring because I already gave myself a ring. It is $2m, so you have to beat it before I love you and we can have children,” he said.
Even though the singer has always been vocal about his dreams of building a family, it appears it might happen sooner rather than later.
Recall that during his birthday celebration on July 2, 2025, he joked about becoming a dad, saying, “Na so Jowizaza follow me talk the last time, I come dey think my life. I don dey old oh, I for begin born pikin.”
In a 2024 livestream, Burna Boy also explained that his reason for not having kids yet, stressing that his inability to give them the same kind of love and presence his parents gave him is a major factor.
“I don’t want to have kids yet. Have you seen my mum and dad, the way they love me? I can’t give that to anyone right now with the life I’m living.
I Just want to be as good a parent to my children as my parents were and still are to me and my sisters. Until I’m confident that I can be stable and settle with the mother of my kids, I can’t have any kids,” he added.
