Kogi State All Progressives Congress (APC), Inaugurates Appeal Committee to resolve issues that may arise from the recent screening of APC Aspirants for the Local Government Elections in the State.
Inaugurating the Committee at the Party Secretariat, Lokoja, the State Chairman of APC, Hon Abdullahi Bello expressed confidence in the ability of the committee members to deliver excellently, noting that the Committee is made up of men and women with proven integrity who are also committed and loyal members of the ruling APC.
Hon Bello explained that the inauguration of the Committee followed the recent screening of Aspirants for the forthcoming Local Government Elections which may have not gone down well with some party members, stressing that such gesture will afford those who may have reservations or felt not treated fairly to lodge their complaints to the Party through the committee.
Members of the Committee are; Barrister Halima Alfa-Chairpeson, Hon Matthew Kolawole-member, Hon. Habibat Saleh-member, Hon Zuberu Amoka-member, Hon. Ibn Ebiyya Shaibu, Hon. Musa Usman-member and Hon. Abdulsalam Ibrahim Ahovi -Secretary.
Speaking on behalf of the Appeal Committee, Barrister Halima Alfa who is the Chairpeson of the Committee assured the State party Chairman that they will carry out their assignment with every sense of responsibility to justify the confidence reposed in them.
Barrister Halima, however, noted that the Committee may refer back to Hon Abdullahi Bello when it is confronted with any issue that needs clarification and thanked him for the opportunity to serve in that capacity.
