Plateau Massacre: Tinubu Reacts as Terrorists Kill 155, Kidnap Scores, Burn Down 17 Communities

President Bola Tinubu has expressed deep condemnation for the heinous attacks that claimed 155 lives in Bokkos and Barkin-Ladi Local Government Areas of Plateau State. Issuing a directive on Tuesday, December 26, President Tinubu ordered security agencies to swiftly mobilize and apprehend those responsible for the brutal assaults.

Recall that on Christmas Eve, gunmen invaded the local councils, killing at least 155 villagers and burning down 17 communities.”

The president’s position was conveyed through a statement released by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale. Given the severity of the situation, President Tinubu called for an immediate mobilization of relief resources to assist the surviving victims of the attacks. Additionally, he stressed the importance of promptly providing medical treatment to those wounded in the tragic incidents.

President Tinubu extended heartfelt condolences to the government and people of Plateau State. He assured Nigerians that justice would be served, firmly stating that those responsible for the acts of violence and anguish would not escape the long arm of the law.
