Lagos Unveils 2025 Land Use Charge Bill

The Commissioner called on property owners in Lagos to seize the opportunity to enjoy a 15% discount on their Land Use Charge payments.
The present administration intends to continue to implement policies that drive sustainable development, attract investments, and elevate Lagos to the ranks of the world’s most advanced cities.

In line with its commitment to providing world-class infrastructure and services for all residents, the Lagos State Government has released the LASG Unveils 2025 Land Use Charge Bill.

According to Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Abayomi Oluyemi, the LUC serves as a critical income source, enabling the government to continue delivering essential amenities to the populace.

In his words, “Recent projects funded through taxpayers’ contributions include: The Lagos Rail Mass Transit (LRMT) Blue and Red Lines – transforming urban mobility and reducing travel time; construction and rehabilitation of key roads and bridges – easing traffic congestion and improving connectivity; expansion of healthcare facilities – providing better access to quality healthcare for residents; enhanced security measures – ensuring a safer environment for businesses and communities amongst others”.

Abayomi emphasised that Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu’s vision of building a safe, livable, and globally competitive megacity remains steadfast. The present administration intends to continue to implement policies that drive sustainable development, attract investments, and elevate Lagos to the ranks of the world’s most advanced cities.

“This is a call to action for all property owners to support this mission by fulfilling their civic duty and paying their Land Use Charge promptly. By doing so, they contribute directly to the growth and transformation of Lagos into a #Greater Lagos that all residents can be proud of.

“To ensure convenience and seamless payment, property owners can pay their Land Use Charge using the following methods: Internet Banking; Bank Deposits – at designated banks across the state; Mobile Payment – through USSD codes; POS available at LUC offices; Lagos Online Assistant – (LOLA – Whatsapp Robotic payment platform)”, he added.

The commissioner therefore, called on property owners in Lagos to seize the opportunity to enjoy a 15% discount on their Land Use Charge payments.

By settling their charges ahead of the deadline, residents can contribute to the city’s transformation into a contemporary and flourishing metropolis.
