The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, has appointed former Minister of State for Defence and ex-Senator, Musiliu Obanikoro, as the Director-General of his campaign for the 2027 governorship election.
The appointment was announced during an expanded meeting of the campaign council in Lagos, where Hamzat unveiled key members of his campaign structure as preparations gather momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections. Obanikoro, a veteran politician and influential figure in Lagos politics, previously represented Lagos Central in the Senate and later served as Nigeria’s High Commissioner to Ghana.
