The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) factions in Lagos State have come together with the common goal of unseating the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the upcoming 2027 elections.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the reconciliation committee, led by Muritala Ashorobi, held a meeting on Sunday, March 9, where they resolved to maintain the status quo within the party and called for unity among its members.
A communiqué released after the meeting urged PDP members across all 20 local governments in Lagos State to mobilize voters and work towards defeating the APC in the 2027 polls.
The committee also issued a warning to members who are allegedly working for the APC, stating that such actions would no longer be tolerated and advising them to either stop or leave the PDP immediately.
Prominent members of the party in attendance were former Deputy National Chairman of the party, Bode George; former minister, Abimbola Ogunkelu; Aduke Maina; the state Chairman, Philip Aivoji; Captain Tunji Shelle (rtd); Ramoni Owokoniran; Niran Adeniji, and members of the reconciliation committee and State executive.
