TINUBU SWEARS IN DARMA AS HOUSING MINISTER, TASKS HIM ON NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT.

President Bola Tinubu has sworn in Muttaqha Darma as the new Minister of Housing and Urban Development, following his confirmation by the Senate.
Darma, who hails from Katsina State, replaces Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, who recently stepped down from the position.
The development was disclosed in a statement issued on Friday by the President’s Senior Special Assistant on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
Speaking during the inauguration, President Tinubu congratulated the new minister and described his appointment as timely, given the current demands of national development. He noted that Darma’s professional background and track record make him well-suited for the role.


The President further urged him to demonstrate readiness and commitment in the discharge of his duties, stressing the need for capable leadership in advancing the country’s housing and urban development agenda.
Muttaqha Darma is a respected Nigerian scholar, administrator, and development expert. He holds a Doctor of Business Administration degree from the University of Liverpool, as well as a PhD in Industrial Engineering from Atlantic International University.
